所谓万能理由，是指可以在各种题材的作文写作中广泛使用的理由。 1. 个人万能理由法
个人万能理由包括针对事物、个人两个层面
针对事或物----省钱（性价比高）--save money (cost-effective) 省时（便捷）-- save time (convenient) 有效率---- efficient
安全/健康----safe, healthy
针对个人---发掘兴趣爱好---discover one’s interest
拓展知识面---broaden one’s horizon; expand one’s scope of knowledge 培养技能---develop one’ skills (language abilities)
个人与团体---交朋友（协助精神、团队精神）make friends (cooperative, collaborative, teamwork
spirits)
增进家庭成员间的情感 strengthen/reinforce family relationships/ties.
个人与社会---成就感（自我实现）a sense of achievement; self-fulfillment; self-actualization.
The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. (1)导游带队的旅行团价格便宜（inexpensive）
（2）导游带队对景点介绍更为详细（scenic spots/attractions）; （3）人们可以在旅行团中成为朋友（friendship）;

例子： There will be fewer cars in use than there are today in twenty years.
二十年后人们会越来越少使用汽车，是因为：科技发展（technological advancement/development），尤其是公共交通（public transportation）的大力发展；人们环境保护意识的增强（growing awareness of environmental protection）；随着社区服务的不断完善，很多公共设施（public facilities）如卫生中心（health care centre）均可步行到达（within walking distance）。
