一.(教材分析) Analyzing teaching material
1. 本课在教材中的地位 Status and function
Fist of all, I would like to analyze the status and function of teaching material. The topic of this unit is about the unexpected things, including the trifles in students’ daily life, accidental events and even some unexpected tricks. The purpose of using all these things is to make students completely understand that there are unexpected things in life at any time. This lesson that I’m planning now is the 7th period of this unit, the 4th period of Section B. Students have learned the structure and usage of the past tense in Grammar Focus. And also the students have learned all the important tenses of middle school period, which is very good bedding for today’s lesson. The main task of this lesson is to finish a writing of at least 80 words with the title of “My lucky/unlucky day”. Through this writing, students will have deeper understanding that life is full of unexpected and they will develop a positive attitude towards life. At the same time, the students can practice the ability of writing by using past tense and all the other tenses.
2. 教学目标 Teaching aims
Knowledge objectives:

1)Basic words and useful expressions of this unit.
2) The usage of past perfect tense.
Ability objective:
The students can write a passage by using the knowledge they’ve learned.
Moral objective
Cultivate the students to face everything with optimistic attitude.

1) Master the past tense and past perfect tense.
2) The students can use the past tense and past perfect tense proficiently in writing.
二.教学方法Teaching Method
In this lesson, I emphasize the topic and base on the task. I will use many kinds of training methods which are strictly related to the task. In my opinion, we should motivate the students’ interest of writing by giving them a good purpose. So I won’t let students write a composition purely without any preparations. I would like to combine the writings with many tasks. For example, I will use mind mapping with telling my own true story about April Fool’s Day to lead in the lesson. The purpose is to motivate the students’ interest of writing. Only in this way would the students like to

write something.
三. 学法Learning Methods
1. 学情分析 The analysis of the students.
The students of Grade have formed steady and effective learning methods, especially in writing. Because I ask them to keep on writing a composition at least once a week or twice a week in limited time in the class. On the other hand, the students often accumulate the writing materials. For example, the students will say a useful saying or a useful sentence when every class begins. And they also have the special notebook about the phrases and useful expressions and even the beautiful sentences. I also encourage students to use the English pattern of thought in writing. The students insist on doing these things from Grade 1 to Grade 9. The students haven’t been afraid of writing any more. The most important thing is that they have been used to having this type of lesson.

Firstly, let students learn the lesson by themselves.
Then encourage the students to take part in the lesson actively.
Thirdly, let students cooperate with each other.
Last, the students can use the target language practically.

四.教学过程 Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in Pre-writing (10minutes)
1. First, the teacher tells a story about a lucky day about himself/herself, and show the key points with PPT.
2. Second, let the students work in groups to share their ideas about their lucky days according to the key points on PPT and finish 3a on page 95.
Step 2 Presentations While-writing (20minutes)
1. Fill in the banks on the study paper to review the four tenses-- past tense, past perfect tense, the simple present tense and the simple future tense. (5minutes)
2. Let students starts to write. Teacher will turn around the classroom in order to find the typical mistakes and write them down on blackboard. (15minutes)
Step 3 Consolidation Post-writing (10minutes)
1. Let students check their writings with their partners. (2 minutes)
2. Show two students’ work for the classmates. One is the better student’s writing, and the other is the good student’s writing. And let all the students find out the mistakes, (2minutes)

五.板书设计和多媒体Blackboard Design and Multimedia
I divide the blackboard into two parts. One part is mind mapping with PPT. The other part is the typical mistakes the students will make during the writing.
六.总结 Conclusion
All above is my point of view of the writing part in Unit 12. In this lesson, I lead in the students to review the knowledge of April Fool’s Day and tell a story of myself. The Students not only can learn the knowledge but also master the methods of leaning. In a word, I always take the students as the host and the teacher is the guide in the class. And I make the tasks be the basis and methods are the main line in a lesson. I pay attention to cultivate the students to learn by themselves. I also present this lesson according to the students’ particular circumstance in our school. I motivate students’ interest by

using all kinds of learning methods. After all, the interest is the best teacher in learning.
