Unit Three A Successful Career
Introduction
Everyone has his own dream in his life. My greatest desire is to be a successful technical executive with high salary. Therefore I can greatly improve the quality of my life. And the most important thing for me is that I can get enjoyment and the sense of achievement in my job. Exploring the Topic
1. What kind of person can be regarded as successful in his/her career?
In my opinion, a successful person in his/her career needn’t to be famous in his/her field or earn a lot of money or in a high social position. As long as he/she likes his/her job and does well, he/she is successful and respectable, no matter what job he/she has.
2. What should a person do in order to be successful?
For my part, first of all, one must hold a right attitude toward the challenges in career because business is made up of both victories and defeats. Second, one should work hard towards the goal no matter what difficulty he may meet with. Third, one should learn to cooperate with others so as to get help from others. The last but not the least important, one should have clear mind to catch good opportunity.
Background Information
The Grammy Awards are presented by the US recording Academy, an organization that is supposed to represent the creative people in the recording arts and sciences. The Awards process began in 1957 and has now become the premier music awards show on TV. It is the only peer-presented (同行评选的)award to honor the Artistic achievements, such as producers and engineers, in the recording industry, without regard to album sales (唱片销量).
Los Angeles
Located between mountains and the Pacific Ocean, LA was a humble (不起眼的) coastal town for centuries, and only grew rapidly at the start of the 20th century. It is now American second largest city. It is dominated by big roads and new buildings, palm trees and movie studios, and is obsessed (充满)with youth and beauty. Among the world-famous sites is the authentic bustle of Chinatown and Little Tokyo, as well as the suburbs of Hollywood and Universal City(环球影城)(the heart of the film industry).

Most times, employers don’t know what kind of workers they have hired until it is too late. Hiring the wrong people may lead to a serious disaster. Section C Practical Writing
Understanding and Filling Application Forms
Office Use Only(仅供办公室用) 或Bank Use Only(仅供银行用) 等部分不必填写。
Write in Block Capitals
