To talk about the travelling in simple English. The first period: Warm up and speaking Step1 Warming up I. Give the students time to look at the picture at the first page of unit 2. And discuss the following questions: 1. Where is she? 2. What does she do? 3. What’s your future job? II. Ask the students to listen to the recorder and match the pictures with the words in the box. (SB, p24) III. Show the students some pictures about the work places. Ask them to match the people with their work places. IV. Ask the students to listen to a dialogue and answer the questions: 1. What does the man do? 2. What’s the woman’s job? 3. Does she love her job? Step2 Presentation of Listening I. Tell the students they are going to listen to a dialogue about a job interview. Fill in the blanks using the words and expressions below: technician, special training, vocational school II. Ask the students to listen again and answer the questions in exercise 3. II. Ask the students to read the dialogue in pairs. III. Ask them to act out the job interview in pairs. Step3 Listening Practice

Ask the students to listen to the passage and fill in the blanks using the given words in the box (SB, p26) while listening. IV. Ask the students to listen again and finish exercise 6 at page 14. V. Ask them to work in pairs and do exercise 7 at page 14. Step4 Speaking Practice I. Ask the students to talk about Tom’s timetable in pairs (exercise 8 at page 26). II. Ask them to work in pairs and finish exercise 3 at page 30. Step5 Consolidation Exercise 1 at page 30 Step 6 Summary Step 7 Homework 1. Ask the students to read the dialogue. 2.
