摘要：The invention relates to a method for controlling a device. Said device

comprises a graphical user interface, via which the functions of the device are controlled.The functions are divided into categories and the latter are sub-divided into sub-categories. The categories are represented by primary regions that are schematicallyarranged on the user interface. The primary regions contain elements, each of whichrepresents a sub-category of the category of the respective primary region. In addition,only one primary region is expanded by the display of a secondary region after anelement has been selected, said secondary region containing control elements for atleast one function that is assigned to the sub-category representing the selectedelement. The respective function is controlled by the control elements.
